Other mail programs can be used for POP email but you will need to
refer to your software's documentation for setup instructions.
Mac users will also need to refer to their software's setup
instructions.
All settings are the same for all mail programs in Mac and PC as follows:
Username - Full email address
Password - Your password
Incoming mail server (POP3) is - mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) is - mail.yourdomain.com
Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication" and make sure the "Use the same settings as my
incoming mail server" option button is clicked.
Outgoing server port (SMTP) should be 25 (some Internet providers
work with port 26).
Incoming server port (POP3) should be 110
To retrieve your
email and write email, when you don't have your Outlook or Outlook
available to you, use webmail. Here's how:
In your browser's address bar type in your webmail address:
http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail
Your username is your full email address.
Your password was provided when your POP account was setup. You
can change your password after logging in.
There are three
email programs to choose from after logging in. You may use any
one that you prefer. There are also other options to setup for
your webmail after logging in but these are optional settings. |
